Katherine or “Kat” is a Filipina visual artist based in Baguio City, Philippines. She’s a self-taught acrylic painter and her works are mainly inspired by impressionist and abstract art.

Her creativity stems from her childhood where she used to draw and make artworks such as bookmarks and paper cards that she would give out or sell to her classmates during her elementary years. She dreamed of becoming an artist or an interior designer but later on learned that it’s more costly to pursue these courses in college, so she considered choosing between writing and psychology.

She also has passion for writing and was appointed as the Editor-in-Chief in their high school newspaper. This, along with her teachers’ encouragements, made her pursue communications and writing instead.

She graduated from the University of the Philippines Baguio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication major in Journalism. However, due to life’s demands, she considered working on various fields with somewhat better pays, so she could provide for herself and contribute to her family’s needs.

She has been working in the corporate world for years until year 2026 hits. It’s when life propelled her to pursue what truly feels aligned to her soul— that is creating and making art.

Every piece of Katherine’s artwork is 100% handmade and hand-painted with love. Each artwork carries an echo of who she is as a person — a lover of life, guided by creativity and intuition, peace, spirituality and simple joys.
